A 158-horsepower and 138-pound-foot torque engine powers the Civic LX and Sport trims. In addition, the EX and Touring trim

levels are available with a more potent 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine from Honda, which produces 180 hp

and 177 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels in both powertrains using a constantly variable automatic

transmission. The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine achieves 31 mpg in the city, as reported by the EPA. and 40 highway mpg., for a total of 35 highway mpg. In terms

of fuel economy, the EPA an estimated 36 highway mpg, 42 city mpg, and the best combined mpg efficiency is found in the turbocharged version.
