The Acura TLX Type S is an all-wheel drive performance sedan with front-wheel drive.

It's not a rudimentary track-day special, but it is at the sharpest end of its sector.

It even pulls an even 1.0 g around our skidpad without sacrificing comfort or ride quality, however.

Why is that noteworthy? Well, during our testing, the Acura NSX Type S

supercar, which costs over $100,000 more than the TLX but has 245 more horsepower, weighs 300 pounds lighter, and has a more

advanced all-wheel-drive system and better weight distribution, pulled an almost insignificant 0.01 g more than the TLX.
